William (Bill) Hooker Sheehan II, age 66, formerly a Hamburg resident until 2016, passed away January 11, 2018 at St. Paul's Health Center, Denver CO after a lengthy illness. Born in Buffalo to William Hooker Sheehan and Mary Alice (nee Hoerbelt) on October 20, 1951. He is survived by his wife Marcy (nee Maslakowski), daughter, Moira Sheehan, Daniel Sheehan, Maxwell Sheehan, Helena Sheehan; daughter Laura (nee Sheehan) Roberts, Andy Roberts, Xavier Finn Roberts, Greta Roberts; and son Samuel Sheehan, Jennifer (nee Lynch) Sheehan, Duncan Sheehan, Liam Sheehan and many cousins and their children. Born in Buffalo to William Hooker Sheehan and Mary Alice (nee Hoerbelt) on October 20, 1951. He is survived by his wife Marcy (nee Maslakowski), daughter, Moira Sheehan, Daniel Sheehan, Maxwell Sheehan, Helena Sheehan; daughter Laura (nee Sheehan) Roberts, Andy Roberts, Xavier Finn Roberts, Greta Roberts; and son Samuel Sheehan, Jennifer (nee Lynch) Sheehan, Duncan Sheehan, Liam Sheehan and many cousins and their children. Bill graduated from Cornell University 1973 with a BS in Biology and a Masters degree in education from Buffalo State University 1976. He was employed as a Lakeshore teacher for 32 years teaching biology and chemistry. Bill also was involved in coaching the boy's track team for many years as well as coaching soccer and football for his children's sports team. He enjoyed almost everything but golf, including mountain climbing and being a ski instructor for the young skiers at Holimont. Bill loved going to the Kentucky Derby and almost any music festival. A gravesite memorial will be held at Perrysburg Cemetery, WNY on August 11, 2018 at 12:00 noon followed by an informal celebration of his life.
