Hung Thien Ta, 65, passed peacefully on September 12, 2016 in his home. He was born on August 10, 1951 to the late Ta Van Luu and Pham Thi Hanh in Tra Vinh, Vietnam. He was wed to the beautiful Tri Minh Nguyen, and was father to six grateful children.

Hung was an accomplished man. He spent his youth serving his country in the Vietnam Navy, eventually achieving the rank of Navy Officer. After serving his time, he immigrated to the United States in 1975. With his ambition, he came to the US...

Hung Thien Ta, 65, passed peacefully on September 12, 2016 in his home. He was born on August 10, 1951 to the late Ta Van Luu and Pham Thi Hanh in Tra Vinh, Vietnam. He was wed to the beautiful Tri Minh Nguyen, and was father to six grateful children.

Hung was an accomplished man. He spent his youth serving his country in the Vietnam Navy, eventually achieving the rank of Navy Officer. After serving his time, he immigrated to the United States in 1975. With his ambition, he came to the US to not only attend college but also to obtain a job to care for his family. He was able to successfully balance his academics at Metropolitan State University with his full-time job as a postal worker. He graduated with an associate's degree in mechanics and he retired from the post office at the age of 55.

He was a husband, a father, and a true hero. He was a man worthy of emulation.

Viewing of Hung will occur on September 16th from 9-5 PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary at 8600 East Hampden Avenue, Denver, 80231. Cremation will take place the following day.
