Charles Easton Kenny was born in Araba, Colorado on March 7, 1920 to Guy and Ruah Kenny. He passed away on August 15, 2016 in Denver, Colorado. Charles was a devoted member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, ornery, and sweet. He will be remembered for his kindness, hard work and dedication to all things in general. Charles drove a bus in Colorado for 25 years, was the superintendent of Sunday school at Gethsemane Baptist, played the harmonica and saxophone and was a beautiful high tenor singer. He used those last three talents mostly at church. He...

Charles Easton Kenny was born in Araba, Colorado on March 7, 1920 to Guy and Ruah Kenny. He passed away on August 15, 2016 in Denver, Colorado. Charles was a devoted member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, ornery, and sweet. He will be remembered for his kindness, hard work and dedication to all things in general. Charles drove a bus in Colorado for 25 years, was the superintendent of Sunday school at Gethsemane Baptist, played the harmonica and saxophone and was a beautiful high tenor singer. He used those last three talents mostly at church. He leaves behind 3 children, Ed Kenny, Lillian Pickard, Doris Daugherty, as well as, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his Gethsemane Baptist family, especially Pastor Michael Maness and family, who cared for Charles and loved him like family. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy M. Howard Kenny who passed away on Christmas Day 2015.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 4:30 to 6pm at Olinger Hampden Mortuary in Denver. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 10am at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Denver. Charles will be laid to rest with his wife Dorothy at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery following his funeral service.
